Dr. Bhagawan Koirala is a cardiothoracic surgeon at the Kathmandu Institute of Child Health (KIOCH), where his work is devoted to children with heart conditions. He formerly headed cardiothoracic surgery at the Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Centre, Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, and has also served at Shahid Gangalal National Heart Centre and the Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University. He studied cardiothoracic surgery at the University of Toronto, Canada.
